Before You Travel - A copy of the following information will be sent to you to be signed and faxed back.   Please read the following information before booking any tour.
Passports and Visa Requirements - All visitors to Ecuador are required to have a passport that will not expire for at least 6 months.  A 90 day tourist visa (12-X) is granted to all visitors as long as your passport has the required 6 months before expiration and a return ticket within 90 days.  If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask us about any concerns.
Vaccines - Before traveling to Ecuador it is a good idea to check with your physician about what vaccines he/she recommends.  If you are traveling at elevations lower than 2000 meters above sea level it is often a good idea to have a Yellow Fever Shot.  You will most likely not be exposed to Malaria or Dengue, but Ecuador is in the Neo-tropics therefore it is not impossible to be exposed.  We find the best protection is light-weight long pants and shirts that help cover up vulnerable spots when out in the field, especially if you prefer not to use very much insect repellent.
Uncontrollable Situations - RealNature strives to insure that your tour with us is as "Worry-free" as possible, but we must remind all travelers that infrastructure such as poor roads, and natural disasters such as land slides, can create problems with itineraries when traveling in Ecuador.  Other hazards such as political situations such as strikes or an airline canceling  flights for a day  are out of control of RealNature.  These situations are rare and will most likely not affect your travel but it best to be forewarned so that awkward situations can be eliminated before time.  All extra costs due to these extreme situation will be the responsibility of the traveler.
Payment Policy - To secure any tour a 20% non-refundable deposit must be made either by a wire (wire fee will be assumed by participant), personal check drawn on a US Bank or paid by credit card using PayPal (a 2.9% fee will be added to assume cost of PayPal fees).   The remaining balance must be paid 45 days prior to commencement of tour.
Cancellation Policy - All cancellations that are made 45 days before commencement of tour will be refunded in full except the 20% non-refundable deposit and $100 for bank transfer fees.  All cancellations that are made 44 days or less before commencement of tour will not be refunded.  For this reason RealNature highly recommends that each participant purchase travel cancellation insurance.
Medical Emergencies and Prescriptions Before traveling, RealNature highly recommends consulting with your health insurance provider about where your coverage reaches.  Accidents or medical emergencies can occur at any moment and it is best to be covered while traveling outside of your country.  This will also insure a more "Worry-Free" experience.

If you are taking prescription medication while traveling please be sure that you will have a sufficient supply so that you will not have to worry about filling a prescription.  As many of the places we will be visiting may not have a well-stocked pharmacy.  It is a good idea to bring your written prescription just in case you lose your medication.
