Finca Upano is a riverside farm on the Upano River near the community of Santa Rosa that we have decided to take on as a project.  This 62 hectare/136 acre farm has been used for many years for cattle grazing.  The goal of the project is to be a sustainable Eco-Lodge.  How do we plan to do this?  We have planted coffee, cacao, along with a Pambil, which is a quick growing palm that is revered for its quick growth, beautiful wood, fruit for wildlife and nest building material.  If you have the opportunity to visit Casa Upano in Macas, most likely a visit to this property will be on your Itinerary.

Altos Nangaritza/Ciudad Perdida is a partnership that RealNature has associated itself with to help preserve 5000 hectares of Primary Rain Forest near the Nanagaritza River in the Zamora-Chinchipe Province.  This piece of property although extremely isolated and out of the way today from man's hand is soon to be threatened by the Trans-Oceanic Highway that is designed to connect Guayaquil to Brazil's Coast, slicing into the Amazon Basin.  The idea is to try to preserve this tract of land now so that it will not be threatened in the future.
