Aside
from being a tour operator and travel agency, RealNature as a company
is dedicated to tourism that supports conservation. We believe the
only way to make a difference in areas where conservation is important
is to live and work in those areas and be a responsible representative
of the tourism industry. RealNature Travel Company
RealNature
is an International Tour Operator and Travel Agency based on the East
Slope of the Andes in Macas, Morona-Santiago, footsteps from the Ecuadorian Amazon Basin. What makes us
stand out, is that our philosophy is simple, organize trips and tours
to meet our expectations. Living in Ecuador gives us the edge to know
about current hot spots and destinations that may not be on the typical
tourists
paths. RealNature Travel Company wants your visit to Ecuador and your
birding in Ecuador to be a wonderful memory not a painful experience.
Let us work out all the details and allow you to concentrate on the
important things...your trip, your birds, your vacation!
Feel
at ease that when you travel with us, you are helping us be more
involved in the conservation efforts here in Ecuador. You will see the
small details, such as not sending box lunches in throw
away containers, using local and organic produce in the lunches, and providing durable water bottles instead of throw aways. The little
differences can make big impacts. We patron locations that are involved and interested
in conservation and we try to always stay away from chains and large
corporations, helping to support family and small businesses.

Galo Real, President
and
Co-Owner of RealNature Travel Company, will probably be your guide
while in Ecuador. After graduating with degree in Eco-Tourism and
acheieving his guiding license,
Galo began working at Bellavista Cloud-Forest Lodge and Reseve in the
Tandayapa Valley on the West Slope of the Andes, it was there were he
was introduced to the "Birding World". He became fascinated with this
new world. Galo later left Tanadayapa to live on the East Slope with
his wife, RhoAnn. His interest in birding continued to grow and he
started working free-lance. Today,
Galo continues to guide but has begun sharing his experiences with
others as a facilitator for the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism and the non-profit organization CESTA He is
currently studying to receive a Masters Degree in Environmental Auditing. Galo's love and knowledge
for his country and its beauty allows him to be not only a wonderful
guide but a great travel companion. When not guiding he can typically be found taking care of his garden that surrounds Casa Upano, working on trails at Finca Upano, and of taking advantage of his time with his daughter Aster. Feel free to contact him - galoreal@realnaturetravel.com
